Redundant Entry, new in WCAG 2.2, requires that multi-step processes such as checkout or a long application form either auto-populate previously entered information or let the user select from previously entered values, rather than forcing them to retype the same email address, shipping information, or answer a second time.
This particularly helps people with cognitive disabilities, motor impairments who find typing effortful, and anyone using a switch device or on-screen keyboard, for whom retyping the same data twice imposes a real, avoidable burden.
