Web Accessibility Services: Manual WCAG Audits, Fixes And Accessible Builds

Accessibility services from a founder-led team with 10+ years of accessibility and development experience, with audits led by our IAAP-certified founder (CPACC, WAS, CPWA): manual WCAG 2.2 audits with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver, remediation, VPAT/ACR reports and accessible WordPress, Shopify and React builds. Fixed prices from $100 to $2,000, written down before work starts.

Our Approach

Manual Testing First. Automation Second.

Our accessibility services never stop at scanners. Automated evaluation tools alone cannot find every barrier — see the W3C WAI guidance on selecting evaluation tools. Every engagement includes manual testing with JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver, mapped to WCAG 2.2 success criteria and aligned with ADA web guidance.

How It Works

How Our Accessibility Services Work

Every engagement follows the same six steps, whether you start with a $500 Quick Audit or a full program. Testing follows the W3C WCAG-EM evaluation methodology, and every finding is mapped to a WCAG 2.2 success criterion.

  1. Step 1: Confirm The Rule You Answer To

We map your target first: WCAG 2.1 AA under the ADA Title II web rule (April 26, 2027 for public entities of 50,000+ people, April 26, 2028 for smaller ones), WCAG 2.0 AA under Section 508, EN 301 549 for the European Accessibility Act (in force since June 28, 2025), or WCAG 2.2 AA as best practice.

  2. Step 2: Agree Scope And Price

We pick the templates and key user flows to test, such as sign-up, search, checkout or a dashboard, and confirm the fixed package price in writing before any work starts.

  3. Step 3: Run Automated Scans

Automated checks catch quick wins such as low contrast, missing alt text and unlabelled fields across every page in scope, so manual time goes where scanners cannot judge.

  4. Step 4: Test Manually With Assistive Technology

Specialists complete each flow with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and keyboard only, and check zoom, reflow and focus order, where the barriers that block real users usually hide.

  5. Step 5: Report, Prioritize And Fix

You get a severity-ranked report with screenshots, the WCAG criterion and code-level fix guidance. Your developers fix the issues, or our remediation team fixes them for you.

  6. Step 6: Re-Test And Document

On the Complete Audit we re-test fixed issues and draft your accessibility statement. If buyers need proof, we write a VPAT/ACR, and monitoring and training keep new releases accessible.

Choosing A Provider

How To Compare Accessibility Service Providers

Before you hire anyone for web accessibility services, ask how they test, who tests and what you get in writing. The W3C is direct about tools: “Web accessibility evaluation tools can not determine accessibility, they can only assist in doing so” (W3C WAI, Selecting Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools). The gap is wide: the WebAIM Million 2026 report found detected WCAG 2 failures on 95.9% of one million home pages, an average of 56.1 errors per page. Use these six checks to compare any provider, including us.

Manual Testing With Real Screen Readers

Ask whether people test each key flow with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and keyboard only, not just a scanner. Every HalfAccessible audit does, and the report names the WCAG 2.2 success criterion behind each finding.

Credentials You Can Check

IAAP certifications such as CPACC, WAS and CPWA can be checked with the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. Our audits are led by founder Mohammad Shadab Saifi, who holds all three.

A Fixed Price In Writing

Published packages make quotes easy to compare: a $100 consultation, a $500 Quick Audit, a $2,000 Complete Audit and the $2,000 Shopify Accessibility Audit. Remediation and VPATs are quoted in writing after scoping.

Compare All Prices

No Overlay Shortcuts

Toolbar widgets do not fix the underlying code. In April 2025 the FTC finalized an order requiring overlay vendor accessiBe to pay $1 million over its marketing claims. Ask any provider to fix the source code instead.

Why Overlays Fail

Fixes And Re-Testing, Not Just A Report

A report alone does not remove barriers. Check who fixes the code, whether fixed issues are re-tested, and how new barriers are caught after launch.

Accessibility Remediation

Documents Buyers Accept

Enterprise and public-sector buyers often ask for a VPAT or Accessibility Conformance Report. It should be written from manual testing on the current ITI VPAT template, not generated from a scan.

Laws And Deadlines

Which Accessibility Service Fits Your Deadline?

Most requests for accessibility services start with a rule, a demand letter or a buyer questionnaire. Here is how the main ones map to our services. Under the DOJ ADA Title II rule, state and local governments must meet WCAG 2.1 AA by April 26, 2027 (50,000 or more people) or April 26, 2028 (smaller entities and special districts), per ADA.gov. The Revised 508 Standards incorporate WCAG 2.0 Level AA (Section508.gov). We test to WCAG 2.2 AA and report against the rule you answer to.

ADA Title III: Businesses And Demand Letters

Businesses open to the public face ADA website lawsuits and demand letters. We test the pages named in the letter, fix them in code and document the work alongside your attorney. We do not give legal advice.

ADA Lawsuit Remediation

ADA Title II: State And Local Government

WCAG 2.1 AA by April 26, 2027 for public entities of 50,000 or more people, and by April 26, 2028 for smaller ones and special districts. We audit websites, apps and documents against that target.

Request A Government Audit

Section 508: Federal Agencies And Vendors

The Revised 508 Standards use WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Vendors selling to federal agencies are usually asked for an Accessibility Conformance Report, which we write from manual testing.

VPAT And ACR Reports

European Accessibility Act: Selling Into The EU

The EAA has applied since June 28, 2025 to many products and services sold in the EU, including e-commerce and banking. Our EU audit maps findings to EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.2 AA.

India, UK, Australia And UAE

We also run country audits for India (RPwD Act, IS 17802 and GIGW), the UK, Australia and the UAE, each tested to WCAG 2.2 AA and mapped to the local rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

What accessibility services does HalfAccessible offer?

Our accessibility services cover WCAG / ADA / Section 508 audits, remediation, VPAT® / ACR documentation, PDF remediation, accessible WordPress / Shopify / React development, plus monitoring and training. Specialists hold IAAP credentials (accessibilityassociation.org). For sector-specific testing, browse our accessibility services by industry.

How much do accessibility services cost?

Packages are fixed-price — see accessibility audit pricing: a 1-hour technical consultation (audit walkthrough, developer Q&A or live issue review) starts at $100, a Quick Accessibility Audit starts at $500, and a complete audit (including the Shopify Accessibility Audit) is $2,000. Remediation and development are scoped after findings — book a consultation to match the right tier.

What is included in a website accessibility audit?

A HalfAccessible website accessibility audit pairs automated scanning with manual testing (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver), maps issues to WCAG 2.2 success criteria, and delivers developer-ready findings. Scope can include web apps, mobile, PDFs, and e-commerce flows. Guidance aligns with ADA web guidance where relevant. New to terms such as WCAG success criteria, VPAT or ACR? Our accessibility glossary explains 200 of them in plain English.

Do your accessibility services include remediation and VPATs?

Yes. After an audit, our accessibility remediation team can fix barriers in code and design. For procurement, we prepare VPAT® and ACR reports based on comprehensive testing — not scanner exports alone.

How long does an accessibility audit take?

Timelines depend on pages, templates, and platforms. A focused Quick Audit is built for smaller sites; a complete audit (including Shopify storefront and checkout coverage) needs more runway. Share your URL and goals via book a consultation and we will confirm a realistic schedule before work starts.

Why not rely on automated accessibility scanners alone?

Automated tools cannot check every WCAG requirement or confirm real assistive-technology usability — the W3C WAI selecting evaluation tools guidance stresses combining methods. That is why our accessibility services always include manual testing with screen readers and keyboards alongside scans.

What is the difference between an accessibility audit and remediation?

An accessibility audit finds and documents the barriers on your site, maps each one to a WCAG success criterion and tells your developers how to fix it. Accessibility remediation is the fixing itself, in your code, theme, CMS or documents. Most clients start with a $500 Quick Audit or a $2,000 complete audit, then fix in-house or hand the report to our remediation team.

Which accessibility laws and standards do your services cover?

We test to WCAG 2.2 AA and report against the rule you answer to: ADA Title III for businesses (DOJ web guidance points to WCAG), the ADA Title II web rule for state and local governments (WCAG 2.1 AA by April 26, 2027 or April 26, 2028), Section 508 (WCAG 2.0 AA) for US federal work, and EN 301 549 for the European Accessibility Act, which applies since June 28, 2025. We also run country audits for the UK, Canada, Australia, India and the UAE.

Do you offer accessibility services for Shopify and WordPress sites?

Yes. The Shopify Accessibility Audit is $2,000 and covers your theme, product pages, cart and checkout. A WordPress accessibility audit runs on the $500 Quick or $2,000 Complete package. If you are building or rebuilding, we offer accessible WordPress development and accessible Shopify development, tested with screen readers before launch.

Do you use accessibility overlays or widgets?

No. Overlays and toolbar widgets do not fix the underlying code. In April 2025 the FTC finalized an order requiring overlay vendor accessiBe to pay $1 million over claims that its widget could make any website WCAG compliant. We fix barriers in your code and prove it with manual testing. Read more about accessibility overlays and ADA lawsuits.

Do you work with digital agencies?

Yes. Agencies can resell our audits, remediation and VPAT/ACR reports under their own brand. See our white label accessibility services or apply to the agency partner program.

How do I choose an accessibility services company?

Compare providers on how they test, not on how many pages a scanner can crawl. Ask whether people test each key flow with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and keyboard only, whether every finding cites a WCAG 2.2 success criterion, who fixes and re-tests the issues, and whether the price is fixed in writing. Avoid anyone selling an overlay as a fix. Compare our sample audit report and published pricing with any other quote.

Who performs the accessibility testing?

Audits are led by our founder, Mohammad Shadab Saifi, who holds the CPACC, WAS and CPWA certifications from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP). Testing is manual, with screen readers and keyboard, backed by automated scans. You can meet the people behind the work on our team page.

Can accessibility services guarantee ADA compliance or stop lawsuits?

No honest provider can promise you will never be sued. An audit and remediation find and fix the barriers, document conformance to WCAG 2.2 AA and show good-faith progress. The DOJ ADA web guidance explains that businesses open to the public must make their websites accessible and points to WCAG as helpful guidance. If you already have a demand letter, see ADA lawsuit remediation and involve your attorney. We do not give legal advice.

Do you provide accessibility services outside the United States?

Yes. We work with clients worldwide and run country audits mapped to local rules: the EU accessibility audit for the European Accessibility Act, plus audits for the UK, India, Australia and the UAE. Every country audit is tested to WCAG 2.2 AA and reports against the local law.

Which accessibility service should I start with?

Most clients start with an audit, because it shows exactly what needs fixing. Choose the $500 Quick Audit for a fast baseline of up to 5 page templates, or the $2,000 Complete Audit for up to 25 templates or key flows with full manual testing. Shopify stores can go straight to the $2,000 Shopify Accessibility Audit. If you are unsure, the free needs assessment or a $100 consultation will point you to the right one.
