Client & Context
A WCAG 2.2 AA audit is repeatable; trust at scale is not. Between December 2025 and April 2026, EnhanceAccess Private Limited engaged HalfAccessible six separate times to audit and remediate websites for their financial-sector clients — and rated every single engagement 5.0.
The portfolio spanned more than fifteen brands, including Auxano, Turtle Wealth, Erito Ventures, Indorient, LongArc, Trifecta Capital, Airavat Capital, Aionios Alpha, Mavenark, Alkemi Capital, Elev8, Xeed Ventures, Kitven, Kae Capital, Dhyana Capital, and Pixelsky Capital.
The Challenge
Financial and venture capital websites share a familiar set of accessibility risks: data-heavy layouts, PDF fact sheets, animated counters, and third-party form embeds. Each WCAG 2.2 AA audit had to produce findings a different development team could act on without hand-holding — and the work had to stay consistent across fifteen different codebases and CMSes.
Running a WCAG 2.2 AA Audit at Portfolio Scale
We standardised the methodology once and applied it relentlessly: automated scanning to catch the obvious, then manual testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and keyboard-only navigation for everything automation misses — focus order, trap states, announcement quality, and reflow. Every finding was mapped to its WCAG 2.2 success criterion with severity, location, and a concrete fix.
For Airavat and Aionios Alpha we went beyond reporting and performed the remediation ourselves — fixing semantics, ARIA usage, contrast, and keyboard support at code level, then re-testing against the original findings.
The Results
- 15+ financial-sector websites audited against WCAG 2.2 AA
- Two platforms fully remediated at code level and re-verified
- One consistent reporting format adopted across every engagement
- Six consecutive contracts, every one rated 5.0 out of 5.0
Repeat engagements are the metric we care about most: an agency that returns six times in five months is not buying reports, it is buying reliability.
Why Financial Websites Face Higher Accessibility Risk
Finance is consistently among the most-sued sectors for digital accessibility under ADA Title III, and the exposure is growing: the European Accessibility Act now applies to consumer financial services sold into the EU, and investors increasingly screen portfolio companies for compliance risk before funding rounds. For venture firms, an inaccessible website is not just a legal liability — it contradicts the diligence story they sell.
The technical patterns repeat across the sector. Animated AUM counters that screen readers read as noise. Portfolio grids built as clickable divs with no keyboard path. Fact sheets published as untagged PDFs. Contact forms from third-party CRMs with unlabelled fields. A WCAG 2.2 AA audit that understands these patterns finds in hours what generic audits find in days.
The Issues We Found Most Often Across 15+ Sites
- Insufficient text contrast on brand-coloured stats, links, and chart labels
- Missing or duplicated accessible names on navigation and social icons
- Carousel and counter animations with no pause mechanism (WCAG 2.2.2)
- Focus order breaking on mobile menus and modal newsletter prompts
- Heading structures that skip levels, making screen reader scanning impossible
Because every report used the same format and severity model, EnhanceAccess could move developer teams between projects without retraining them on how to read the findings — the quiet efficiency that turns one engagement into six.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a WCAG 2.2 AA audit take for a marketing site? Most financial marketing sites in this programme were audited in one to two weeks, depending on template count and the volume of PDFs and interactive components in scope.
Do you audit the PDFs too? Yes — fact sheets, decks, and disclosures are tested for tagging, reading order, and form accessibility, and can be remediated to PDF/UA as an add-on.
Can one report serve multiple development vendors? That was the point of the standardised format: the same severity model and fix-guidance style worked across every codebase in the portfolio.
