He holds all three senior web credentials from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP): Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), and Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA). IAAP awards the CPWA only to people who have passed both the CPACC and WAS exams. He is also a DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester and a JAWS Certified Professional.
His day-to-day work covers WCAG 2.2 audits, accessibility remediation, VPAT and ACR documentation, accessibility governance programs, and developer training. He tests with real assistive technology, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack, and produces documentation that holds up in procurement reviews and legal due diligence.
At HalfAccessible, he leads the team of accessibility specialists who handle manual testing, code-level fixes, and compliance documentation for clients in regulated and high-stakes sectors, and every audit is led by him. He has also built several accessibility tools and platforms that help teams test, audit, and learn without depending on external consultants for every task, including HalfAccessible’s free accessibility tools and the WCAG 2.2 scenario learning hub.
His goal is simple: help organizations build accessibility into how they design and ship products, not treat it as a last-minute compliance exercise.
How Mohammad Shadab Saifi Runs An Accessibility Audit
Every audit he leads follows the same evidence-first method, so the findings stand up when a buyer, a procurement team or a lawyer reads them:
- Agree the scope. Pick the templates, user journeys, documents and apps that matter most, so a representative sample covers the whole site.
- Run automated scans as a first pass. Tools such as axe, WAVE and ARC Toolkit find the obvious failures quickly. The W3C notes that evaluation tools cannot determine accessibility on their own, so scans never replace manual testing.
- Test by hand. Keyboard-only checks plus screen reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack across the key flows: navigation, forms, checkout, login and search.
- Map every issue to WCAG. Each finding names the WCAG 2.2 success criterion, the affected pages, the severity and a code-level fix.
- Re-test the fixes. Once your developers or ours ship the fixes, they are re-tested so the report reflects the live site.
- Document it. Where buyers need it, the results feed an accessibility statement or a VPAT / ACR.
You can see what this looks like in practice in our free sample accessibility audit report and in our accessibility case studies.
Want a quick first look before you talk to anyone? AccessibilityScore.in runs a free automated WCAG scan of a single page. It is a useful starting point, and a manual audit then finds the issues automated tools miss.
Standards And Laws He Audits Against
WCAG 2.2 Level AA
The current W3C standard. Because WCAG 2.2 includes the WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 criteria, one audit covers all three versions. Read the WCAG 2.2 specification.
ADA Title II and Title III
For US state and local governments and for businesses open to the public. See the ADA.gov web guidance.
Section 508
For US federal agencies and the vendors that sell to them. The Revised 508 Standards point to WCAG 2.0 AA (Section508.gov).
EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act
The EAA has applied to covered products and services in the EU since June 28, 2025. See our European Accessibility Act guide.
India’s RPWD Act
The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and the related accessibility rules for Indian organizations. See our India digital accessibility compliance guide.
