ACR (Accessibility Conformance Report)

An ACR (Accessibility Conformance Report) is the completed version of a VPAT: a filled-out document reporting exactly how a specific product conforms to accessibility standards, criterion by criterion.

The terms VPAT and ACR are often used interchangeably, but strictly speaking the VPAT is the blank template and the ACR is the finished report once an organization or auditor has filled it in with real findings.

A credible ACR is based on actual manual and automated testing against the referenced standard, not marketing claims, and includes specific remarks for any criterion rated “Partially Supports” or “Does Not Support” so a procurement reviewer understands the real-world impact. Buyers increasingly ask for the auditor’s name and methodology alongside the ACR itself.
